I entered this year's fashion week for Spring'08 by attending the Lela Rose show. I never heard of Lela Rose but I told myself that I need to find out who are the designers that are underground or who is just not getting that much publicity as the heavy weights. Well, to my surprise Lela Rose is awesome. Every piece reminded me of a past life, my grandmother's life as when she got dressed (gloves, makeup, tailored look) just to go to the supermarket. Lela Rose pieces had a forties flair, very soft and true to detail. The clear belts added a young feel to the tailored dresses.
The whole show was amazing with beautiful models with soft makeup and lean bodies. I am now in love with Lela Rose.
